On June 24 and 25, the Stade Méano will host the Gérard Delamon tournament from 9am to 7pm.
The tournament, which has been running since 2010, is named after Gerard Delamon, a former rugby player who played for a number of clubs in the region. This competition showcases 7-a-side rugby, a highly impressive Olympic discipline both visually and technically.
Over the past 13 years, the Gérard Delamon tournament has evolved and grown in scope. When it was created, it brought together only regional teams. Over the past 2 years, it has taken a step forward by becoming an elite accession tournament. It is now home to top 14 clubs such as Union Bordeaux Bègles and Aviron Bayonnais.
The stakes are high for the participating clubs, who all want to secure their passage to the next level.
