After winning its first Cultural Olympiad label with its ephemeral exhibition Mouv’Art, Miramas has just obtained the label for a second time thanks to the Olympic and Paralympic Sports Festival and its participative totem pole.
The Cultural Olympiad label
Awarded by the Paris 2024 Culture Department, the Cultural Olympiad label aims to reward events and actions that bring together art, sport and culture around common issues.
This is the case for the Olympic and Paralympic Sports Festival which will take place on Saturday, April 8 at the Miramas Métropole Stadium. The event has just been awarded the Cultural Olympiad label thanks to the many ways in which it crosses over between the sporting, artistic and cultural fields.
The Olympic and Paralympic Sports Festival: an event linking sport, art and culture
In addition to the shows and artistic performances, the Olympic and Paralympic Sports Festival will also welcome the Miramas artist Jean-Noël Tomasi. He will supervise the realization of a 2m high participative work entirely conceived from recycled sports material.
